A simple fog trick: Using global fog, set Top to 0, bottom to, say, -5000 and
then pick everything (cam, lights, objects) and rotate it 90 deg on the X axis:
presto, a Wall O Fog, easily controlled.

Another 2.0 fog trick, or use really is to make stars or suns. Simply add a
sphere, make it a yellow-white, set it's fog length so it is a thick fog, but
somewhat less dense at the outer area, and you have an instantaneous sun! Look
really good, much better than if you had just added a sphere and made it
bright.
